We'll stop the sign ups when we get to 8 teams, unless there is a lot more interest than I expect and we can get to 16 teams.
The format will be just like the world cup. All the teams will be randomly placed into groups of 4. Each team will play the other teams in their groups one time each (for a total of 3 games), and the teams with the best 2 records from each group will advance to a single elimination tournament to determine the overall winner. In the case of a tie, the team with the fewest goals against them will advance, so be sure to track your scores.
Once the signups are closed, I'll be posting the groups, and a form to report your game results. It's up to the teams to schedule their own games.
